Couples Therapy

Couples come to therapy for many reasons. Sometimes something has happened to the relationship itself. Other times, life has changed around you and the relationship is trying to adjust with it.

That may include:

  • Grief that lands differently in each partner

  • A diagnosis or medical experience that has changed the relationship

  • Caregiving strain

  • Relationship changes

  • Major life transitions

  • Changes in roles or identity

  • Becoming parents, parenting differently, or parenting through something hard

  • Changes in intimacy, connection, or communication

  • Adjusting to a future that looks different than the one you imagined together

Our work makes space for both of your experiences. I may use talk, creative, and experiential approaches to help you:

  • Understand what changed

  • Communicate through it

  • Make room for each other's experience

  • Recognize patterns in how you relate to one another

  • Reconnect around what matters
