GROUP WELLNESS EVENTS

Not everything healing has to be therapy.

Group wellness events at Tessera are creative, experiential gatherings open to the community. They're places to make something, reflect, and be around other people doing the same. Every event has an expressive arts component, because working with your hands, your body, or your voice tends to reach places that talking alone doesn't.

They're also a chance to learn a different way of approaching some of the things life throws at you.

You don't need to be an artist. You don't need to be a client. You don't need to have anything figured out.

What to Expect

Several times a year, Tessera partners with other wellness providers to pair the creative process with practices like massage, yoga, Pilates, mindfulness, and live music. That might be a couple of hours of guided art-making and gentle movement, an evening of music and reflection, an improv workshop, a poetry gathering, or a creative practice paired with bodywork.

Events are held at Tessera in Minnetonka, in the space built for exactly this kind of work. Pricing varies by event and is listed with each event's registration. Events are intentionally kept small, so registration is essential.

Events vary, but they share a few things:

  • An expressive arts component: art-making, movement, writing and poetry, music, improv, or something else creative

  • Room for self-reflection, at whatever depth you want

  • Connection with other people, without pressure to share more than you'd like

  • No skill or experience required

This is Not Therapy

Group wellness events are non-clinical. They aren't group therapy, they aren't a substitute for therapy, and attending one doesn't make you a client. There's no assessment, no treatment plan, and no clinical relationship.

Some people come as a first step, a gentle way to experience what the expressive arts feel like before ever committing to therapy. Some come alongside therapy they're already doing. Some come because they want a few hours to make something and be around other people.
